Martin Davies, BA Law, Dip M
Martin has an honours degree
in law and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1985. He was a
solicitor in private practice until 1992, spending four of those
years as a Managing Partner with a firm in Portsmouth. In 1994 he
became Director of Marketing for a large regional law practice in
Hampshire, and was then Director of Operations
for one of the largest law firms in the South East of England. In February
2000 he created
LAW on the
WEB, which went on to become one of
the most-used legal advice sites in the UK. In 2010 the site was sold and LAW
DOX was created.
He
has written for various legal publications and for The Times and The
Independent newspapers. He is also the author of "How to Apply
for a Legal Aid Franchise" and "Legal
Marketing", both published by Blackstone Press. He has lectured and acted as a consultant to the legal profession on
marketing and web issues. You can see some of the articles and seminars
here.
Should you wish to contact Martin about the site, legal web consultancy, seminars or speaking engagements, please e-mail him at martin@lawdox.co.uk or telephone 01243 538298. He cannot provide legal advice on the telephone.
The aim of LAW DOX is to allow individuals the freedom to create their own simple DIY legal documents at very low cost, and have access to simple guides that will guide them through some of the less complex legal situations and processes.
